SAN DIEGO AUTO MUSEUM UPDATE:

On 2/10 we moved Joe’s VERY NICE Rampside into our exhibit at the SDAM for February. Unfortunately, due to staffing issues at the Museum, Joe’s stay was shortened a week but, as reported by the Museum staff, his was a real “Crowd Pleaser. Many people expressed a lot of interest in this “peculiar vehicle”! Thank you, Joe.

For March’s exhibit we have moved Tom Wright’s Convertible ’65 Corsa Turbo, that displays very nicely, into our ever-changing ‘Corvair Corner’. Thank you, Tom for braving the weather to make the ‘swap’. Mike E. also, has been quite a big help with our ‘Corvair Corner’ exhibit.

SAD NEWS!

As of 3/31/25 our Corvair Corner of the San Diego Auto Museum is discontinued.😞

It has been a wonderful ride for the last 10 months, however, they need to move on with other models. Thheir replacements will be "Hot Rods". Thank You to all who have helped with this event and to all who have participated. Who knows, maybe we can return sometime in the near future?

 PAST ACTIVITIES IN FEBRUARY

Saturday, 2/22, The Annual “Broken Yokes for Car Club Folks”: was this Month’s Club Activity.

It was a good breakfast & well attended show. (Not by our Club, but by other locals!) The day was beautiful, as were the many cars that came out of teir ‘winter re-hab’. Nice group of ‘car’ people.

Thursday, 2/7, Road Trip to the Zoo Safari (Wild Animal) Park:

We met up at the IHOP in Rancho Bernardo for a very filling breakfast for $7.00 and then cruised the lush & scenic San Paqual Valley Road to the Zoo Safari Park for a FREE day of animal & show viewings.

After splitting up and each group getting their fill of their favorite various exhibits, we all headed out for a little ‘Happy Hour’ at the Cordiano Winery. Frank, Gerardo & Rosa Cordiano were presented with a little gift of appreciation of their extraordinary hospitality at last month’s event.

This was a FUN outing for the 8 of us who enjoyed this wonderful day!

Let me know your thoughts and ideas or if you have a recommendation for future “Activities”!
