THIS MONTH'S UPCOMING EVENTS:

SAN DIEGO AUTO MUSEUM (SDAM) UPDATE

On 9/9 we moved John S.s’ 1963 Greenbriar into our exhibit at the SDAM for the month of September. Many visitors never realized that Corvairs were available as a VAN!

This is an ever changing exhibit that shows off very well. Thanks to constant contact & conversations, Paul M. has kept the Museum staff improving the exhibit with new texts & artwork. Next up on 10/7 is our “New Guy”, Zane Ramirez, a new member of the Coyote Club! His 1960 4 door is an excellent representation of the first year of Corvair production.

Come on down and see our exhibit along with some other beautiful cars.

Here is the current tentative schedule for the upcoming museum exhibits.

If you want/need to change your schedule or if you know of anyone else who is interested, let me know ASAP since this is flexible.

SDCC ACTIVITIES

 PAST ACTIVITIES in August:

8/2 … SDCC was represented at Cruzin’ Grand in Escondido.

Thanks to pre-arrangements by Paul M. we had a special Corvair area with a well needed shady spot to congregate ~ the primo spot on Broadway and Grand Avenue. We had 10 Corvairs present and Scott Akrie won one of the ‘Best of Show’ awards with his beautiful ‘65 Corsa! A fun event!

Thanks to Paul M. & Mike E. we were able to transport & show off our ‘Cutaway Corvair Engine’ from the museum & it was a BIG hit with the crowd.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES FOR SEPTEMBER:

Please RSVP! We need a good head count so there will be plenty of food & drink for all. This should be a fun social event and your RSVP is requested. The Club will be providing Hamburgers and Hot Dogs along with all of the accoutrements….if you have a favorite side dish, salad or desert, please volunteer & let Jim know by RSVPing.

Note: In order to park together we need to gather somewhere and all go in at the same time. We should all meet at Carl's Jr. around 7:00 and make it to the entry area by 8:00. They start letting vehicles in at 7:30 am. Go a little early and have breakfast and a cup of coffee. The line starts at Seacoast and Date St

Entry fee of $30 to be paid at the entrance.
