On 9/14 a couple of us attended the BayFair Car Show at Crown Point and enjoyed a ‘Day at the (boat) Races’ on Mission Bay. There were approx. 50 older, nicely restored and original cars. One ’59 Ford T-Bird with less than 4500 original miles owned by past Corvair owner & club member, Fred Adler. Also some old friends (including past Corvair enthusiast, Mike McCray).

There were many inquries about our Corvairs which Paul handled very knowledgably.

Please Note:

Our Club will be putting together a “Gift Basket” that we will donate to this event as a raffle (fund raiser) item. If you have any tools or small parts (in excellent condition) that would be useful to any Corvair enthusiast, please bring them to our October SDCC meeting on 10/9! (Thursday, 7:00pm @ Ken Baldwin’s (FPB Architects) 2nd floor Conference Room. 4499 Ruffin Rd., San Diego.). This will help out the host club and the event in general, with the ever increasing expenses!
