SDCC ACTIVITIES

PAST ACTIVITIES in JANUARY:

 1/17, Friday, 9:00~9:30am, ~ SDCC Private Tour of the Ignite Academy, 8630 Argent St., Santee

This was a tour, just for our club, to see the San Diego Auto Museum’s IGNITE program designed…”for high school students and provides mentorship, guidance, and early career exposure and experience”… We enjoyed a guided tour by Eddie Vega, the Museum’s Mechanic & Head of Education. We saw a dozen or so antique car in storage for rotation into the museum and the shop where the kids get hands on Training. 

COMING UP in FEBRUARY:

2/16, Monday (Presidents’ Day), 6:00am~1:00pm ~ San Diego Auto Swap Pechanga Arena, 3500 Sports Arena Blvd.

Meet up and find those rare Corvair parts you need for your ‘winter fix-ups’ and then, bring a folding Chair, and join the gang for a picnic lunch in the parking lot catered by Phil’s BBQ Ribs. (We will need RSVP’s for this event to order the correct amount of food @ approx. $20 per person)

(Tent. 3/14) Private Showing ~ Speilman Auto Collection (Solano Beach)! You won’t want to miss this exclusive opportunity to vie this private collection of Concourse classics!

April:

4/10-4/12, 8:00am~5:00pm ~ Good Guys Car show, Del Mar Fairgrounds… Shall we get a space to show off our Corvairs & SDCC??

(Tent. 4/15) Private Showing ~ Petersen Auto Collection (Orange Co.). If we have enough interest we may be able to charter a bus…stay tuned as those plans develop!

4/25, Saturday, 9:00~2:00 ~ One Day Avair, Rainbow Oaks… 4815 5th. St., Rainbow, CA

Finish up your “winter projects” and cruise on out…Maybe pickup or sell some Corvair Parts.

6/22-24, National Corvair Convention, Gettysburg… celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary at the Corvair Convention! See historic Gettysburg, Pa.
